Rainy Days Guide

While we pray you won’t need this Wet Days Guide, and the sun will be shining, but it wouldn’t be a holiday in England without some unpredictable weather! But you don’t have to be stuck in on a rainy day. There’s a wealth of indoor things to do!

When it rains...have fun!

Firstly, you don’t even have to leave the park to keep you dry (sort of) and have fun! Our heated indoor pool will pass the hours while having some splashing fun (see why we said sort of?!).

In the leisure centre we also have an arcade where you can see how many pennies you can push off the shelf, drive the arcade cars or have a game of pool and air hockey. Or for the younger ones, you can play in the indoor, soft multi court area.

The Scarborough Fair Collection and Vintage Transport Museum is also located on the park! What’s that? I hear you ask. You’d never know it from looking from the outside, but the museum is packed full of vintage fairground rides, mechanical organs, traction engines and vintage vehicles. It’s a stunning collection, and the fairground rides work too, so you can take a spin on the gallopers or bump around in the dodgems. It really is suitable for all ages.

Elsewhere you can nip down the road to The Plough where they have The Fun Farm. It’s an indoor soft play area to suit various ages, serving food and drinks too. If it’s indoor soft play you are looking for, Mini Monsterz is a bigger, super-charged indoor play area which may take your fancy.

On the South Bay at Olympia Leisure you’ll find a 10-pin bowling alley. Recently refurbished and modernised, the bowling alley is all-out American with a food shack too serving hot dogs and burgers too.

Further afield you’ll find indoor days out at The Deep in Hull, a large aquarium which is great for adults and children. Top Tip: The Deep often have offers on tickets for adults, have a look online before booking.

Head over to York where you can see all the delights of the historic city, but it is also home to Point Zero, an indoor trampolining park which really gets the blood pumping around the body!
