Weekly Fire Alarm Testing

Fire alarm break glass call points are to be tested weekly to ensure their operation successfully raises the fire alarm. All visual & auditory aids should operate as normal, including any linked or 3rd party systems.

A different call point should be tested each week. For example, if you have 6 call points in your department/building, you should have tested all of them by the end of the 6th week before rotating round again.

Use the fire alarm test key to operate the call points. Do not break the glass as part of this test.
