Re-opening of leisure facilities

Great news! We’re now able to give you further information on the re-opening of our leisure facilities, including the rules of use for swimming pools and arcades.

Flower of May – our swimming pool, squash court and arcade will re-open on 19th May at 9.30am.

Goosewood – the arcade in the bar area will be open from 20th May at 5pm. The swimming pool will open on 3rd June for park residents only, until Sunday 6th June. We will then re-open on Wednesday 9th June to everyone, and welcome the local public back to our pool. Sessions are 10am-1pm and 3pm-6pm. There are no bookings. Your swimming time will be limited to 1 hour to ensure we can enable as many people as possible to swim. From Wednesday 9th June our usual opening days will apply, Wednesday – Sunday.

Fir Tree – the arcade and swimming pool will re-open on 31st May.

We will be open, Monday (31st May), Wednesday (2nd June) and Friday (4th June), Saturday (5th June) and Sunday (6th June) during half term week. Then we will be open Wednesday to Sunday going forward.

Session are 10am-1pm and 3pm-6pm and are on a first-come-first-served basis, there will be no bookings. Your entry time will be limited to 1 hour (including changing time) to ensure we can enable as many people as possible to swim.

For private owners and seasonal touring pitch holders, please collect your swimming pass for our residents rate from your reception.

How to use our facilities safely…

Booking (Flower of May only)

From 3rd June we will not be taking bookings any longer. Any slots already booked will be honoured, but we won’t be taking further bookings from 3rd June.

Entry for those without a booking, and going forward, will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Spaces in each session are limited.

Arrival

Swimmers encouraged to shower before leaving home. 

You must arrive at the start of the session to avoid congestion in reception areas. Swimmers to arrive ‘beach ready’ where possible with costume under clothes to minimise time in changing areas. 

You must sanitise your hands on arrival and departure. 

You must check in using the NHS Track and Trace App or complete a paper copy on arrival.

Inside the Leisure Centre

Social distancing regulations must be adhered to at all times.

You must adhere to the rule of 6 or 2 households at all times.

Customers are required to use the one way system in operation.

Masks must be worn in the Leisure Centre until changing for swimming, unless you are exempt. 

Customers are required to sanitise hands before and after using machines in arcade area, pool tables and table tennis table.

Inside pool and changing areas

Social distancing regulations must be adhered to at all times.

You must adhere to the rule of 6 or 2 households at all times.

Specific changing cubicles will be available for entry and exit although we encouraged you to shower before arriving. Post swim showers are available within distancing guidelines.

No inflatables or equipment to be allowed in the pool.

The usual rules regarding age and supervision of bathers apply including supervision of weak or non swimmers.
