Let's get physical!
First off, grab your football boots (you can do it in trainers really!) and head down to Scarborough Footgolf, which combines the nations favourite sport with the old-time classic pitch and putt. The whole family can play, boot your ball as far as you can before tapping it in to the large hole. Who will be the winner?
For those who do their exercise on wheels, Hairy Bobs Skatepark on the Marine Drive is great for tricks, flicks and jumps be it on a BMX, skateboard, roller-skates or scooter!
From grass, to concrete and over to water, for those who like to be on the waves you have a plethora of options too. Down on the North Bay you can go surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding and more with hire of the equipment and lessons available from Dexters Surfshop. Meanwhile, the inflatable assault course at North Yorkshire Water Park on Wykeham Lakes is fun for the whole family!
If you like to stay firmly on land (kind of), you can go ape at Go Ape in Dalby Forest. Zipline, swing, and explore the treetops in this adventure in the sky. It’s about 30-minute drive in to the forest but this will get the adrenaline running through the veins without a problem!
If you want to bounce around, head over to York where you can see all the delights of the historic city, but it is also home to Point Zero, an indoor trampolining park which really gets the blood pumping around the body!
For those who love to get on two wheels, we’ve been blessed in this part of the country to host The Grande Depart of the Tour de France and the Tour de Yorkshire, routes for the races are ridable by the public and can be found on this website
