Built in 1806, the lighthouse is open to visitors with guided tours — climb all 119 steps to the top for panoramic views across the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Headlands Restaurant Nearby stands the original 1669 lighthouse, one of the oldest in England.
RSPB Bempton Cliffs
Just a short drive from the park, Bempton Cliffs is a breathtaking wildlife spectacle where thousands of seabirds — including puffins — nest on dramatic cliff faces Yorkshire, with a visitor centre, café and shop on site. One of the most memorable experiences the Yorkshire Coast has to offer.
North Landing Beach
A stunningly picturesque cove tucked beneath imposing white chalk cliffs, North Landing is a sheltered haven of golden sands, rock pools and gentle North Sea waves Petal-barley — perfect for families and dog walkers alike.
Danes Dyke
This remarkable two-mile prehistoric earthwork stretches across the headland and has revealed Bronze Age arrowheads Headlands Restaurant. Time your visit for low tide to walk the shingle beneath the chalk cliffs, and look out for the famous chalk stack formation known locally as the "Drinking Dinosaur".
Sewerby Hall and Gardens
Set across 50 acres, Sewerby Hall combines a Grade I listed house with beautiful gardens and a small zoo Petal-barley, plus a land train that runs down toward Bridlington — a firm favourite with families and well worth an afternoon.
