SEASONAL TOURING T&CS
Our Agreement with You: Please carefully read and consider the following prior to reserving a pitch:
Our agreement with you binds you, the person named on the reservation form, and all members of your party, including children and any visitors. You must ensure that all members of your party are aware of, and accept the terms of this agreement. It starts from the day the reservation is made and continues until the last member of your party has left the park on the final day of the season. The Management reserve the right to decline any application for a seasonal touring pitch.
The proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission to the park to any person, and to terminate the seasonal contract if in our opinion you or your party are deemed to be failing to adhere to our specific park rules or behaving unreasonably or inappropriately.
Booking/Before arrival
The first half of payment for a seasonal pitch must be made before access to the park is granted.
All touring caravans must be fully insured – Proof of insurance must be supplied.
Caravans are provisionally accepted, and are subject to individual inspection on arrival.
Please note that we allocate pitches against the Touring Caravan Make, Model and Dimensions which you specify on your Reservation Form. If you change your Caravan prior to the commencement of or mid-way through the season, or request to move pitch, we cannot guarantee to be able to accommodate you. There is an advance change of booking fee of £50.
Awnings must not exceed the length/width of caravan without prior agreement in writing.
Please note caravans are stored at owner’s risk. Customers booking winter storage may be asked to move their own caravan. Anyone requiring assistance to move their caravan either with or without a vehicle will be asked to pay an advance charge of £50.
Using your pitch/caravan
A seasonal touring pitch is strictly for owners and their immediate family and not extended family members and friends. Use of the caravan on the park is recreational only, and not residential. The caravan may be occupied on the park to a maximum of 26 nights in any one visit. After any visit of 26 successive nights there must be an interval of 2 nights prior to a return visit.
Awnings cannot be left erected when the caravan is unoccupied (Flower of May, Fir Tree & Riverside Meadows). It is not permitted for anyone to sleep in the awning.
There must be no sub-letting under any circumstances. Failure to abide by this rule will result in the owner and caravan being asked to leave the park.
Single sex parties of 3 or more persons & unaccompanied young parties are not accepted. You must be over 21 to apply. There must always be at least one responsible adult over the age of 21 in any seasonal touring caravan.
Motor Vehicles & Boats
Only one car is permitted to be parked at the side of your caravan. There are no exceptions for a greater number of vehicles. Commercial vehicles/vans/vehicles displaying advertising by arrangement only. You are able to collect one car parking pass from reception for an extra car. Any further extra cars are chargeable at £5 per night. A ticket must be obtained from reception (all parks) and parked in the allocated car park.
All motor vehicles should not exceed the 10mph speed limit and should observe any one way or no entry systems.
Customers must not carry out any trade or business whilst on the park.
Boats and trailers must be parked in areas designated by the Park Management and not next to caravans.
Repairs and maintenance of cars, boats or any other vehicles are not permitted on the park.
All motor vehicles must fully comply with the Road Traffic Act and be driven by fully licensed and insured drivers.
Minors must not steer cars whilst sitting on driver’s laps whilst on park.
Your pitch
Owners are expected to keep the park clean, in particular the ground under and adjacent to their caravan. No items / litter to be stored under the caravan. Caravans are to be kept in a clean and tidy condition.
Caravans/cars must not be washed on the park. Use of pressure washers is prohibited.
Any item that causes an obstruction to the grass cutter or strimmer, including bikes/scooters, will be removed from the pitch and disposed of if uncollected. Cables must be disconnected when the caravan is unoccupied.
The following are not allowed:
•A greater number of occupants than the specified number of berths
•Sleeping in awnings
•A storage box exceeding agreed dimensions
•Gazebos / tents
•Drying implements left up while not in use
•Washing lines
•Aerials/Satellite dishes fitted to park property
•Sky lanterns, flags/flag poles (whether attached to caravans or otherwise)
•Bunting / streamers
•Artificial grass
•Fire pits / patio heaters
•Solar lights (in the ground)
•Paddling pools
•BBQs on the ground. BBQs must not be left unattended
Refuse/Waste Disposal
The waste disposal points are for general/recycling waste only. Do not leave electrical goods, metal, garden waste etc.
All chemical waste from caravan toilets must be disposed of in the chemical waste disposal elsan point provided. All grey waste must be disposed of into marked drainage points only and must not be discharged into the ground.
Behaviour
Disruptive, noisy, offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated – including the use/possession of drugs, illegal substances or weapons. We may ask you or any member of your party to leave immediately if your conduct is considered by us to be inappropriate, likely to cause harm, or impair the enjoyment, comfort or safety of other customers, staff or the general public, or is likely in our belief, to breach any of our agreement with you. No refunds or compensation will be given in these circumstances.
Your behaviour on social media should be fair and reasonable. Excessive or repeated negative posting may result in further action being taken. We reserve the right to remove anyone from our social media access should the behaviour be deemed unreasonable, constantly negative or aggressive/abusive. Complaints which continually arise should be made in writing to the park office, not via social media.
Children’s Supervision / Parental responsibility / Responsible Adults
You are responsible for the supervision of all members of your party under the age of 21. You must supervise your children and babies at all times. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied at all times on the park by an adult.
All young children and babies (8 years and younger) must be supervised at all times. Older children must behave accordingly when on the park. This includes using play equipment correctly, respecting the facilities and behaving in a manner conducive to a family location.
Play areas must not be used after dark.
Bikes, Scooters and Recreational Vehicles
Motorised / Battery operated recreational vehicles are strictly prohibited (includes scooters, bikes, children’s ride-ons and any other recreational apparatus). Responsible adults must supervise and ensure that bikes / scooters are ridden in a courteous and responsible manner. Bike racks must be used, where provided. Please make sure that bicycles are parked sensibly and do not cause an obstruction to entrances, other guests or vehicles.
In the interest of safety, bicycles, scooters and any other recreational apparatus of a similar nature are to only be ridden during the hours of daylight. Recreational apparatus are not permitted on Play Areas at any time.
Facilities
Full facilities may not be available early and late season. Last minute notification of changes to opening times/closure will always be posted on our social media pages.
Seasonal Tourer Owners at Fir Tree, Flower of May and Goosewood have free use of their park swimming pool. Seasonal Tourer Owners on other Flower of May Holiday Parks may use any of these pools at a reduced rate.
The quoted entertainment may vary due to conditions outside management control and the management therefore reserves the right to amend or cancel accordingly without prior notice. Please contact park offices or see our website for further details. We recommend following our social media for up to date information.
Only food and drink purchased here may be consumed in the bar and leisure facilities.
Legislation & licensed Premises
We reserve the right to refuse to serve or sell alcohol to anyone who: Is under the age of 18, or appears to us to be under 18 (and cannot prove otherwise), or we, in our sole discretion, consider to have been drinking excessively or under the influence of illegal substances.
You may not bring or use any shotgun, knife, firearm, archery equipment, or any other instrument that would be considered to be a weapon, fireworks (including sparklers), illegal substances or similar to any park under any circumstances.
Photography
To ensure safety, we use CCTV cameras on our parks. Still, digital or video photography is not allowed in any shower block, changing area or swimming pool. We take photographs and use drones for marketing purposes; if you do not wish to appear in any such material please inform us where you see this happening. The use / flying of drones or any other powered aircraft is not permitted on the park.
Fire Safety
Do not light any fires on any part of the park.
Do not discharge any firework, firearm or airgun or discharge any stone, missile or set fire to anything on the park.
Sky lanterns are not permitted
Firefighting equipment is for emergency use only.
BBQs
Customers are welcome to bring a BBQ to use at their pitch. If you are using a disposable BBQ it must be lifted off the ground (BBQ blocks available to borrow). BBQs must not be left unattended.
Customers must not, under any circumstances, light fires or use fire bowls at their pitches.
All accidents during your stay must be reported to reception.
Dogs
You may have a maximum of two dogs at any time.
Seasonal Tourer Owners must strictly adhere to the following:
•No animals, other than dogs, are permitted
•Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times
•Any dangerous dogs / dogs who exhibit aggression / deemed to be dangerous will be asked to leave immediately
•Dogs must be exercised off the park or on a designated dog exercise area
•Dogs must not be allowed to foul in the public areas of the park
•Dog owners must clear up after their pets at all times, and dispose of the waste in the receptacles provided
•Dogs are permitted in our bars. However, please consider if this is a suitable environment for your pet taking into account there may be loud noise and children
•Dogs are not allowed on any play areas
•Dogs must not be left unaccompanied at any time
•Only the permitted number of dogs may be exercised at any one time by an individual
•If you already have the maximum number of dogs permitted, overnight visitors must not bring pets
•Dog pens are not permitted
Lakes – where applicable
Please do not let children play or wander unsupervised around the lakes. Children are not permitted around the lakes after dusk.
The park’s fishing rights are only available to park users that hold a valid Park Fishing Permit. Permits are available from Reception.
All types of recreation on the lakes or water are strictly prohibited.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult whilst fishing.
WiFi
Direct to Van (DTV) provides a premium connection to your caravan that is personal to you with a unique password. You can connect multiple devices to this network and there is no drilling, no holes and no impact on your touring caravan. Should you take out this option, please be aware that your details will be passed onto the third party WiFi company on your behalf – they will contact you to set up your account and payment. Further dealings are between you and the provider for your park. If you experience any problems with your connection please contact the providers directly. Contact details available from your park reception.
Cancelling your booking
Seasonal pitches are non-transferable. i.e. if you sell your caravan, the remainder of the season is not included & the caravan must leave the pitch.
Relinquishing a seasonal pitch – four weeks’ notice is required prior to the relinquishment of a pitch. A pro-rata refund will be given of the amount paid at the end of the notice period, less any non-refundable deposit paid. After 31st July no refund under any circumstances.
Flower of May Holiday Parks Limited recommend that customers take out their own travel insurance.
Duration of Agreement
This agreement is on a seasonal basis.
